The next generation model is offered in three trim versions, the base model XLS, mid-level XLT and up-level Limited. All the models are offered in either four wheel drive or in front wheel drive.

Engine
Power to the 2010 Ford Escape comes from 2.5 liter I-5 engine that delivers 171 hp at 6000 rpm and torque of 171 lb ft at 4500 rpm. The standard transmission to the engine is 5-speed manual, while it also offers 6-speed automatic transmission as optional. With the powerful engine equipped, the next generation model can achieve fuel economy of 24 miles per gallon in the city premises and 32 miles per gallon on the highway roads. Apart from most advanced safety features, the 2010 version is also featured with luxurious and sporty amenities.
