Engine

The standard engine to all the 2010 Escape models include 2.5 liter I-5 engine that delivers power up to 171 hp at 6000 rpm and torque of 171 lb ft at 4500 rpm. The standard transmission to the engine is 5-speed manual, while it also offers 6-speed automatic transmission as optional. With the powerful engine equipped, the next generation model can achieve fuel economy of 24 mpg in the city premises and 30 mpg on the highway roads.
