Trims & Engines
Four trim levels are offered for 2008, the base model XLS, mid-level XLT and up-level Limited. The XLT version comes powered by a 3.0 liter V6 engine that produces 200 hp, while it also offers 2.3 liter I-4 engine as optional. The V6 engine is mated to 4-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission has been discontinued for 2008.
Power
Also available include 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid version, offered in front wheel drive. The gasoline engine and electric motor can produce power up to 155 hp and the engine is mated to 155 hp.
